Sexually transmitted diseases (i.e STDs) are infectious diseases that spread from person to person through intimate contact. There is no background or age of guys and girls who are not affected by STDs who are having sex, it doesn't matter if they're rich or poor.

Unfortunately, getting sexually trasmitted diseases is now a common teen-age occurence. Since teen-agers have increased risk for transmitting and obtaining sexually transmitted diseases, it's important to learn what you can do to protect yourself.

STDs are more than just an embarrassment. They're a serious health issue in the making. If untreated, the marjority of STDs can lead to permanent health concerns, such as infertility (losing the ability to have a baby) and even death (where HIV is concerned).
