Sexually transmitted diseases (also known as STDs and once called venereal diseases or VD) are infectious diseases that are transmitted through sexual contact. STDs affect all backgrounds and ages of girls and guys who are having sex, it affects all regardless fo financial status.

Unfortunately, STDs have become common among teens. Since teen-agers have increased risk for transmitting and obtaining sexually transmitted diseases, it's important to learn how to sufficiently protect yourself.

STDs are more than just an embarrassment. They're a important health concern.
